Leslie Mohamed-Vall, AS-LPN

Licensed Practical Nurse

About Leslie

Leslie Mohamed-Vall is a bilingual pediatric registered nurse whose 22-year career centers on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to children with complex medical needs. Her clinical background spans two highly specialized areas—pediatric respiratory (including asthma, bronchiolitis, chronic lung disease, and technology-dependent airways) and pediatric rheumatology (including juvenile idiopathic arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune/inflammatory disorders).

Leslie’s strengths include comprehensive assessment, medication and device teaching (inhalers, spacers, nebulizers, injectables), pain and symptom management, and safety-focused care coordination. She partners closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and social services to streamline transitions between hospital, clinic, and home—reducing readmissions and empowering families to manage care confidently.

Spanish speaking, Leslie prioritizes culturally responsive communication and health-literacy-friendly education so families understand diagnoses, treatment plans, and warning signs. She is known for her calm presence, advocacy for child and family voice, and commitment to trauma-informed practice.
Beyond bedside care, Leslie contributes to quality-improvement initiatives, precepts new nurses, and supports the development of practical tools—checklists, teaching guides, and visit summaries—that make care safer and easier for families. Her mission is simple: deliver excellent pediatric nursing that is kind, clear, and effective—for every child, every time.
