By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • 🔍 Identify ultrasound machine controls, probe types, and image-optimization settings

  • 🩸 Visualize key upper-extremity veins (basilic, cephalic, antecubital) on ultrasound

  • 🎯 Demonstrate in-plane and out-of-plane probe and needle-guidance techniques

  • 🛡️ Establish and maintain aseptic probe covers and sterile fields for ultrasound-guided insertion

  • 💉 Perform dynamic ultrasound-guided peripheral IV catheter placement with >95% first-stick success

  • 🛠️ Troubleshoot common image-quality issues and anatomical challenges

  • 📝 Accurately document ultrasound findings, procedure details, and patient education
