By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify key peripheral venous anatomy and patient assessment criteria

  2. Prepare and maintain a sterile field for IV insertion

  3. Select and assemble appropriate IV catheter equipment

  4. Perform safe vein localization 

  5. Execute peripheral IV insertion using aseptic technique

  6. Troubleshoot common insertion complications

  7. Document procedure and patient education accurately
